UNIVERSE HYBRIDISED |
The thesis:
In the beginning there was only life; humanity brought death to life; as it was in the beginning, it can also be again in the future.
Evolution, in so far as life was not created but instead spontaneously originated from inanimate matter, is a beyond-reasonable-doubt tenet to a vast portion of the scientific community. The following discussion is a look at the book of Genesis with a view to it being an equation describing origination and the unfolding of life within this reality. The perspective on which much of this approach is based seems to have been largely overlooked, not just by science, but also by Biblical Scholars. It appears that science has en-masse misguided itself and consequently mislead humanity not only about evolution, but about knowing right, wrong, good and bad.
If Genesis is a true, but still incompletely unraveled document of Cosmic history, evidence of conformity to the information it gives should be determinable or at least observable in today's reality. There are a number of essential points to consider in correlating prevailing reality to Genesis.
One is that the chain-reaction of changes that occurred (according to Genesis) and are continuing to do so as a direct result of inappropriate human action (commonly known as sin), are represented in all items and facets of this reality but especially the human mind. In other words, not only has everything changed from how it was, everything also appears different to the human mind that perceives, analyses, images, reacts and initiates response to it. Although the degree of perceptual distortion can be said to be individual-specific, collective awareness of groups or even the entire civilisation does not fully compensate for the deficiency. There is however something special to be elaborated on concerning the collective awareness of complementary genders.
An essential point influencing correlation between Genesis and this reality is the equation by which human perception of itself and the world functions. Genesis 1. 26 : And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 : So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
There are actually numerous points in these verses, some of which will be discussed later, but for this discussion at least two are strongly relevant.
1. The statement that humanity is made in the image of God implicitly describes a characteristic and inherent vector of mankind. In other words, just as mankind is created in the image of God, mankind then continues and creates in its own image. Everything humanity thinks, says and does is a direct correlation to itself. In other words, when it looks or otherwise senses, it peruses everything that exists, but it acknowledges and images only those items and combinations of them, common to itself. This includes not only life forms, but all matter - the sea, the sky, the stars, the atoms, including scientific data bases. The scientific data base, its tables, its applications are fully subjective forms of self portrait. All these items are carved and sculptured from their actual form (as God and undamaged humanity would see them) into prevailing or 'damaged' human format. The Cosmos is all that is of creation, while the universe (and all its dynamics) is what humanity carved, or differentiated from the Cosmos. If the human mind or consciousness has been damaged or subjectively altered (according to Genesis there has been a profound affliction), the mind will sculpture its world in a format that represents the damage and alterations. The world - the universe - which the human mind will see will be a collage depicting human excellence as well as its acquired deficiencies and failings. In the latter case, humanity creates its limitations, accidents, disasters, including potential human extinction by way of disease, catastrophe and even seemingly unassociated collisions with astral bodies such as asteroids. The human mind carves and locates even the position of itself within the universe. It is important to note here a point very regularly overlooked or ignored. When Genesis documents God's pondering to create humanity in God's image and likeness, the actualisation of humanity is documented as image only. The 'likeness' factor is clearly a matter of free choice by each individual. We can be as much like, or for that matter unlike God as we choose. The point in Genesis is that at the pondering stage it is mentioned as a factor of the equation implying humanity has the potential to be completely LIKE God, or any degree of it.
2. Humanity is created inseparably as man and woman. In other words, holistic humanity arises ONLY through the perfect complementarity of both. Humanity perceives the items of reality as man and woman therefore both images are gender specific and so holistically incomplete until they are merged into a single image. In other words each image will contain a shadow or blindpot, so unless and until man and woman can see as one, the world will remain congruently disunited and fragmentary. This is a particularly essential point given the degree of prevailing abuse between genders. To see as one, they must find perfect love.
The above points will be discussed in greater detail later, but now their influence on the dynamics of universal change should be looked at. The reference is the Venus Flytrap.
It is widely accepted that the book of Genesis implies there were no carnivorous or omnivorous creatures in the Garden of Eden. It was a deathless reality, so it is reasonable to also assume that plants like Venus Flytraps which are specialized to hunt, trap and consume sentient creatures such as insects, never existed there. At least not in the form they are found in this present reality. So how did they arise? They may be a species exclusively adapted to specific conditions existing in this reality, but not in Eden. If this is the case, these intrinsic conditions and factors should be determinable. This discussion will argue that the specific factors and conditions inducing such fundamental change in life forms derive from the products of death. Metaphorically speaking, from the spilling of blood.
If it is true that the Venus Flytrap's carnivorous characteristics are an induced adaptation upon a life form that was profoundly and categorically different in Eden, it is also very likely true for whatever the wolf was, or the lion was, or the eagle was, and so on. It is also true for what humanity was and what reality was. This panorama is a glimpse at the immensity of change and separation that has occurred between the two realities. It is conceivable that the human hunter instinct became an acquired regressive trait, not as scientific dogma has it, a developmental stage.
From this vantage point it is also possible to recognise and evaluate the shortfall in humanity's potential capacity to repair itself and the universe without Divine assistance. Humanity unleashed a chain reaction of destruction to which, without Divine intervention, it became eternally subjugated. Indeed, therein is the basis of the human work ethic - a unit of work done towards the replacement and repair of reality (including humanity itself) to its condition before human action brought perpetuating catastrophic change and tragedy. More about this later.
?
In the event that at least two significantly different and largely immiscible realities exist - creation and the human (carved) universe - it is necessary to qualify the meaning of words such as 'natural', 'nature' and so on. Commonly, something is assumed to be natural when it appears to have originated and developed into its prevailing form without significant human manipulation. Something which appears to function apart from human involvement is also seen as natural. The wind, the rain, the seasons, sunshine etc are examples of this form of naturalness. Many people equate nature as something God-made. But Eden was very unlike this world with its misery and death, so to what extent have the things of reality changed (physically and spiritually) since human action contravened Divine intent?
If we entertain the possibility that Genesis is an authentic record of the Cosmos, then God's will or intent (as distinct from God's consequential allowance, perseverance, concession or tolerance) within the dynamics of creation must be taken as a parameter implying 'nature' or 'natural'. Although the adaptation-based changes in life forms (evolution) was almost certainly an intentionally enshrined characteristic of creation, not all evolutionary changes in this world are natural or God intended. If human action seriously contradicted creation intent, or more specifically if human action veered totally away from behaving LIKE God, the on-going evolutionary changes resulting from that human action (or series of them) are no longer natural even though they might comprise most or all of the prevailing reality. Instead, the life forms and all matter subject to these changes are hybrid.
Indeed, it is arguable that not only are all forms and items of this reality changed according to human action, the mind of humanity which conceives, perceives and estimates them is also changed. There is no true creation-quality nature in this reality except possibly the thin residual thread of hope and Edenic memory weaving through humanity and possibly other life forms. No faculty of human form has been spared being effected. It is this hybrid panorama of distortion that sets the theme and basis for human morality, ethics and destiny. More about this matter in chapter #.
The ground (indeed it can be referred to as 'the world') of Eden prior to the initial consequences ensuing human sin, but especially prior to Cain killing Abel, can safely be assumed to have been void of all by-products from death and disease. Some of these by-products are totally death-specific. So, in the absence of at least one death they would not exist and consequently their presence brought infinite change to the world.
The products in the earth are the ingredients with which living things construct their forms and more subtly, their characteristics. Each ingredient has its own characteristic and its own force and so where and how it is used becomes a vector tending the living entity towards specific traits and characteristics. In some aspects, each ingredient in the earth brings with it the force of its entire history and this force can induce specific characteristics in the living entity. But this may not be readily evident from a narrow time-space observation and may need ages or eons to observe. One would need to stand on the horizon of eternity or the 'ages of history' to peruse the unfolding of such subtle vectors within life forms.
From some aspects, all present day plants are at least partially omnivorous because they feed on products directly ensuing from death - the 'essence' of death infuses the soil in which they live. In a strict sense, there is no item of the universe that is virgin-life because the 'essence' of death has also tainted the air, the water and even the energy and aural fields which reach to the limits of the universe. This entire universe (microscopic and macroscopic), as far as human conception, perception and contrived technology can reach, is tainted in 'blood'.
Plants like the Venus fly trap are clearly different from those that might have lived in Eden in that they are specialised for actually hunting and killing the prey which they consume. Such specialised plants are an expression of life forms which have evolved, adapted or hybridised from their original state, and adopted characteristics synchronous or sympathetic to their prevailing conditions. Conditions arguably initiated by humanity. If this human-induced process has occurred, then it is likely the same process has induced the development of carnivorous and omnivorous animals and also engendered the often confused and almost certainly misguided 'natural hunting instinct' in humanity. These conditions are all hybrid patterns of the original created state. The preceding statement clearly implies that human existence precedes that of dinosaurs and other carnivorous and omnivorous creatures. This contravenes prevailing scientific creed that humanity evolved only in the last few million years. Discussion of issue is found in chapter `#.
The characteristics of life forms which resulted from hybridisation would not have been confined solely to behavioural and dietary expressions, but become proportionally expressed in all facets of physiology, psychology and psyche. The fertile and infertile phases of women and over-production of sperm in men would have their basis in these circumstances also. Phenomena such as menstruation only appear natural because of prevalence. They are not creation natural phenomena, but instead expressions resulting from hybridisation.
An explanation for the existence of life forms such as carnivorous plants (and animals) suggests that they resulted from a process of adopting or imitating the characteristics of animals that have died and whose components have 'dissolved' into the earth. Since certain products are exclusively death-specific (they would not exist without death), they hold and however gradually impart a vector force that synchronizes the host life form to reproduce them. However subtly, all the earth became changed once a part of it was changed by death. Once components of death had entered the earth, it became infinitely different to its prior nature. This is an example of the holistic nature of a particular event affecting the nature of its continuum - the components resulting from death contain and express characteristics and forces of death as they are re-used in various combinations by host life forms throughout time. Once a process of birth and death cycles became established on the earth, the ground became a giant 'melting pot' of all the components that passed through it from defecation, shedding and death. Entropy became an inclusion of the equation defining the nature and dynamics of this (human carved) universe.
After Cain killed Abel, and the blood of Abel was spilled into the soil, God describes the consequences in Genesis 4:10:
And He said, What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries out unto Me from the ground.
4.11And now art you cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand;
4.12 When you tillest the ground, it shall not yield unto you her strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt you be in the earth.
The earth can be likened to a salvage yard from which most life forms (but especially plants and microbes) salvage components. Once Abel's blood (and other components) had entered the earth, all vegetation and every creature which lived on that vegetation was changed as a consequence. This article of scripture can be seen as a description of what some would call karmic law. A particular chain-reaction of events begins and subjugates the initiator (Cain as a representative of an aspect of humanity) to bear some of the consequences. A similar interpretation can be made of Genesis 3:17:
And unto Adam He said, Because you have harkened unto the voice of your wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow shall you eat of it all the days of your life;
3:18 Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shalt eat the herb of the field;
3:19 In the sweat of your face shalt you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shalt you return.
?
This was not punishment by God as is commonly perceived. It was merely God explaining the nature of the Cosmos and predicting and allowing a degree of consequence to flow. It would have been de-creative to do otherwise, given that humanity was made in God's image with the potential of God's likeness. We inhereted and assumed responsibility in that role. Humanity and God were to share the burden of repair. This point clearly emphasises the specialness of mankind. An animal could not have done what we humanity did and if it werer at all possible to do so, it would have been inconsequential.
Whatever man and woman had done by way of the sin had entered the ground - the base of all physical things and life in this world - and become re-expressed through it. The 'ground' in this case is not merely the soil. Instead, the air, the water and the general field are all inclusive. Before sin changed human nature, 'eating' something could have been a process of absorbing it through any, all, or a combination of our senses. We might have fed by a process similar to osmosis - direct and willful absorption through touch, taste, smell, sight, hearing etc. Eating could have been as subtle as assertions of will. Humans would absorb consciously and selectively certain qualities of the 'vegetation' which would become the experience and nature of new dimensions. The life force of the plant could be absorbed without death - to "not kill" was to not destroy consciousness. 'Death' presumably pertained to conscious life forms only. Plants were presumably life force without individual consciousness. Breatharianism, sustenance absorption by body pigments and osmotic absorption of energy, probably have similarities to the means of 'eating' in the Edenic state.
The vegetation in our present reality may have adopted a form of rudimentary consciousness through salvaging the products of death, but those in Eden would have been pure life force, presumably without consciousness.
A very powerful experience the author personally had on the third day of his first 'dry' (no water and no food) fast was the awakening of an old (osmotic) energy system: He was having trouble regulating his body moisture and general vitality. As he drove down a highway towards Melbourne, he became aware that he was oscillating between feeling high then low in his sense of vitality. He noticed that his highs were coincidental with the sun shining on his face and hair. His lows were coincidental with passing through shadows. The experience highlighted the sense of absorbing energy through hair and skin. A latent energy absorption system was re-awakened by the stress of the fast. He never cut his hair again, realizing it to be an organ and not merely an insulation. In past ages, or dimensions, humans possibly 'ate' in this way, but most people have forgotten that it was so. The diversity of the 'trees' in the garden of Eden expressed the microcosm of the diversity of cosmic realities. Anything more original than an item in Eden was a mere thought in God's mind. Each 'tasting' was the experience and creation of new development and new dimensions.
To experience the fruit of the tree of the 'knowledge of good and evil', we probably only had to ask. This is indicated by the first account of creation just a few verses earlier in Genesis where humanity is informed to regard all the plants (excluding none) as food. The meaning of food should not be confined to that which is eaten by the mouth and digested by the intestines. Food can be something we touch, smell, see, hear, are immersed in, or even think about. Each item in Eden was the essence ingredient. Adding and mixing it with other Edenic ingredients was a procedure to bring change and build new universes. Mixing the items in whatever way and extent we absorbed them became the chemistry (or the alchemy) of unfolding new realities. The fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was probably the only 'fruit' we needed to take (eat or touch according to Eve) secondly to another fruit - the fruit from the 'Tree of Life'. The reverse order would bring cosmic disaster which humanity is now experiencing the consequences of. This disaster has not yet been eternalised however, so hope still remains for some, if not all humanity.
Once we 'ate' from the tree which was conditionally poisonous to mankind, we could not harness and utilise all the forces contained in the experience. This fruit brought with it the experience of total subjugation which could only mean eternal death. Since we had not taken the fruit of the Tree of Life, we had no power to survive the total subjugation. Indeed, had we eaten from the Tree of Life after that of the prior, we would have animated and eternalized evil. This is why humanity had to be banished from Eden.
This moment was also the creation of the first toxins and thereby the first toxic by-products were produced. These by-products were psychic as well as biological in their form. This process perpetuates to this day as the diversity of sinister actions, motives, toxins and pollutants. This is the main reason why nuclear energy is an unaffordable by-product. However, unless humanity heals, any energy system will eventually bring lethally toxic consequences.
Somewhere in this process while still in Eden we also initiated death of animals - the skins of which we were later clothed (told to bear on our own shoulders, what we had done) by God (Gen.3:21). The earth was to express the harshness of our action by what it grew - thorns and thistles.
This salvaging process was a system of exchange-and-adoption of characteristics from one life form to another. Given enough time, and if the ecosystem was closed to outside input of inter dimensionally new life forms, everything on earth (everything in the universe) would tend towards homogeneity - indistinguishable oneness. In other words, everything would begin to become and look the same. Venus fly traps are in this aspect, biological imitators of omnivorous animals and humans. We have gone down, they have come up. This process could aptly be phrased "morphological entropy". The primordial soup that science believes all life has come from is more the entropic homogeneity into which life is potentially heading.
Along this line of thought, it is possible to see that science's fashionable belief in a common evolutionary origin of all life forms, is more accurately, the perception of a process of morphological entropy, accentuated by compulsive human self referencing of all perceived data. Science merely observes the partial state of homogeneity and variations of continuity all life forms have to the human image. The human data base of the world around and within itself is a self-portrait collage. The higher life forms, including humans, are vulnerable to entropic degeneration into lower forms. There is a splash of fun when one is seduced to sell a portion of one's status. The greatest of these is to sell all and dive into irreversible demise. Evolutionary gain is made by the lowest forms which assimilate the by-products of degradation and move partially upwards on the scale of sophistication.
As much as the majority scientific community regards current research in such areas as cloning, stem cell research and cross species hybrids are expressions of human progress and cleverness, they are instead, expressions of human degradation. It is an expose of human-invoked self-entropy into lower status. In this scenario humanity initiates self-destruction under a self-deluded facade of progress. Although they have a sense of making free and objective decisions in their work, these scientists are actually wanderers, lost and foraging in the wilderness of knowledge. Much like maggots wriggling in a necrotic mass. This is an expression of the workings of the 'knowledge of good and evil'. The tables are turned on the exploitative nature of humanity where, through its actions, its own spirit becomes eternally bound within non-human life forms. Entropy of human nature and consciousness is manifest.
We are faced with something new in AIDS and nuclear stockpiles, but genetic engineering is a frontier through which an even greater threat is imminently arising. Cleaning up human-made genetic pollution and genetic 'junk' is likely to be a much more awesome task than cleaning the damage we have done to the environment. If the AIDS virus is a product of genetic engineering, and it is quite possible that this is so, it provides a glimpse of the immense destructive potential which could be unleashed by un-checked genetic tinkering.
These 'developments' ensuing from human tinkering, like pollutants and nuclear waste, are actually by-products of a degraded consciousness. The products resulting from our use of knowledge are an expose of the quality of our spirit. Nothing really ever goes wrong. Instead, the total sum of the products, desirable, undesirable, immediate and time delayed, which result from any activity reveal the holistic nature of the intention initiating the activity. This intention may pertain to a single individual or be a consensus intention of multiple individuals such as a society. This is the dynamic of recreating our own image. Apart from our search for power to rule and oppress one another, many of our endeavors appear to be directionless in terms of ultimate purpose. We meander in time and space and as a consequence of our stagnation we become ensnared and cluttered by our own past and present activities.
The meandering nature of our activities tends to limit much of our productivity to short-lived usefulness and so, in time even our 'useful products' become cluttering by-products. In this way human nature without salvific commitment is limited to repetitive cycles of progress followed by demise. Perpetual eternal rise and demise is a condition of eternal fire - the fire of hell.
The knowledge-base which humanity fashions, reflects and expresses humanity's ultimate hope. While human consciousness continues to assume and remains subject to the inevitability of death, progress is ultimately meaningless, and humanity's knowledge, by way of variously-toxic by-products (pollution, disease, war etc), manifests death. We inevitably come to the end of the road according to the limits we assumed or embraced for the sake of some unaffordable desires.
It is from this panorama that human rationalization and surrender has lead to the naturalization and normalization of death, not just for humanity, but for all life forms. It has fashioned paradigms that are ultimately self destructive.
The primary poisons are not those we spray on our vegetables and pollute the earth, water and sky with. These are all secondary by-products exuding from the already poisoned mind of humanity. The primary poison resulting from contravening creation is the death and misery (especially human) we have created and then put back into the earth. We naively assume we have buried the results of our ugly behaviour. Instead we add our wrongs to the earth as ingredients which we later eat and breath to make into our bodies, our minds and our psyche. We feed ourselves these poisons, then with a misguided conscience, go on and innovate more poisons in a self-deluded guise of progress..
The right hand of humanity undoes the good done by its left hand.
Earth should become like heaven so God can find a home here. These are some words of Meister Johann Eckhart, a 14th century mystic. These words are an example of the the regaining of meaning and purpose in everything we individually think, say ansd do. Within ourselves we can often get a glimpse of the things that our senses tell us are not of heaven. It is these things that we should change. As we change, the world around us adjusts and is changed accordingly.
